Nuisance callers dial up a 999 logjam

Hi blogbuddies , today i read a newspaper article about some nuisance callers dialing up a logjam , which means that some important calls cannot get through .I think this newspaper article is an Idea-driven story as over time , we slowly discovery about the mistakes and wrongdoings of Singaporeans. The central idea of this Idea-Driven Story is 999 logjam occurs due to nuisance callers .In this article , we were introduced to the unnecesary calls that Singaporeans make to the police (999). Some of these such as :
Treating the police station as a phone operator.
Listening to the phone operators' voice
Prankcalls , which are usually greeted by silence , or with fake calls for help .
It also taches us when to and when not to call the police hotline .

If a crime is in progress
If criminal suspect in close by,
If futher crime may happen ,
If someone is badly hurt
When not to:
In non-urgent situations where there is no risk to life .
