In the novel village by the sea , my favourite character was Lila .
She is my favourite character because:
She is very independent .
When Hari has escaped to Bombay , she managed to find a job and also take care of her family . She did not abandon her family like how Hari did.
She also managed to survive in the gender-biased country , India.
Being a girl , she is at a disadvantage . Many would not take her seriously or even regard her existence . Yet , she managed to live under these circumstances and continue life .
She was also able to put up with her father's irresponsibility and debt , which Hari as a boy , couldn't even do .
How do you guys view this issue ?

Well this is a well written post. Lila is hardworking and she can bear the stress at such a young age. Keep it up!
Yes we all should learn from Lila and be independent and be able to bear with the pressure.
